Read Any Good Books Lately

I've been on a reading lull right now.

While in Charleston I reread Eat, Pray, Love. I loved the book just as much this time as I did the first time. I read it with a pen this time so I could highlight parts of the book that really spoke to me. The thing about this book is that it makes me want to change, to be a better person. There are things that Liz says in the book that I could have said and that I have felt. I wish I could physically go on the spirtiual journey she went on yet I'm trying to find a way to do it in my everyday life.

The other thing the book does is makes me want to read more books like it but I've found there aren't really any other books like it. It's a mixture of the writing style and the story that I've yet to find. I'm searching though. I'm pushing myself to get away from my typical kind of book and reach or at least try other books. I've been unsuccessful so far but I have high hopes.

The other book I'm rereading is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The book was so traumatic the first time that I just couldn't make myself read it. Well I reread Half-Blood Prince to kind of ease myself into Deathly Hallows. I can say I made it through the scene where I cried the first time with no tears. I'm reading it much slower this time and trying to enjoy the story. I never would have guessed 8 years ago that this wizard would have such an effect on my life. I even gave my dad an analogy about what he's going though. I told him to think of the cancer as the death eaters and the donor's stem cells will be the Order and even though they may feel defeated at times, ultimatly the Order will succeed. I might have mentioned that Harry will show up at some point. :)

So read any good books I should read? I need something to jump start my reading again.
